A non-profit association called Spec Miata Championship Drivers Association (us) has created the very first Spec Miata Racing Series here in Canada in 2011. We have less than a dozen cars but we are growing. We use SCCA's SM rulebook.

We are gauging interest to see if any of you SM racers would be interested in hauling up here to compete with us on our local track on our double weekend in August. We would be negotiating with our organizers a free entrance fee (or very low amount) for anyone hauling up here. This would be open to SCCA & NASA SM cars. Our Aug double event includes a full race event on Sat and again on Sun. During a typical race day, we race A LOT! All SM cars are eligilible to race in 5 races per day including a 1-hour enduro, plus practice & qualifying. (this is for Sat and again on Sun). Each day schedule is;

30 Min practice/Qualifying
15 Lap Spec Miata Race
15 Lap GT Sprint Race A
15 Lap GT Sprint Race B
1- hour GT Enduro
15 Lap Unlimited Race

Only the SM cars can enter the SM race. The SM cars can enter all of the GT races in the GT5 class. And the SM cars can enter the Unlimited race as UN Class (everyone is in the same class / run what you brung). Most of us will run all the races. Some will share or pick & choose. Others will rent. Temp is usually between 70-80 degs. Many camp at the track ($10/whole weekend). Maritime hospitality! Maybe a pig roast. The date is not confirmed as yet.

Anyway, it would be a hellofa race vacation! Track is Atlantic Motorsport Park, Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. Several of you have raced here before. I realise its quite a hual from folks down South, but New England is a days drive.
