Anybody ... well actually (my bride aside) actually stay up to watch the end of the Datona 500 last night? I gave up when JPM set off the JP4!

Replay starts at Noon EST on SPEED.

I'm betting on Kenseth for the win and the JetDryer to stay on the track longer than Johnson.

A marketer's nightmare: Here's how I watch NASCAR. 1. DVR event, 2. at a later time, FF through pre-race blah, blah, blah, watch start and first 20 laps, 3. FF to last 20 laps, slowing if I see a crash, 4. watch last 20 laps and ~5 minutes of post-race blah, blah, blah.

I can cut a 4+ hour broadcast down to about 20-30 minutes.

My wife is a serious Nascar fan (she loves Carl and hates Shrub) and insists on watching every event starting from the stupid pre race bla-bla, right through every post race interview. The only solution to martial harmony in our home is for her to watch it alone, and me to speed watch it on DVR as outlined above later.
Rick
P.S. I guess the fact that she loves any kind of racing is a blessing however. She has been to every (less one) race weekend with me for ten years!

Rick, you and I are blessed

my wife Kim also comes to every race with me, and loves the racing.

Had quite an "AHA moment" end of last year when I realized Kim could name the entire F1GP grid, first and last names!!!!!. She too has become a semi fan of NASCAR and pretty much knows all the drivers.

guess we got really lucky!!

Danny:
Indeed we are. Jay mans the radio has given me at least two wins by virtue of her heads up track updates (and sometimes not so gentle input regarding what I need to do in the car)!

Yep. I'm on the west coast so it was only 10pm for me.

Nothing better than a wife/partner who enjoys what we have interests in... We're lucky, most dudes don't have that.

Im just glad the jet dryer incident didnt give me another reason to dislike JPM. After seeing him force 2 cars completely off of their lines in the rolex 24 last year I have lost all respect for him.

Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.
