What are the biggest differences in the 89-93 and 94-97 cars? Obviously the 1.6 vs 1.8 engine, but if these cars look alike how would you be able to tell if a 89-93 had a 1.8 swap? Is that legal to have a stock 1.8 and all the other accessories swapped into an earlier year? How would you be able to tell the difference? Just a thought been running through my head recently

Virtually everything on the motor is different:
Injectors
motor mount brackets
starter
alternator
heads
cams
pistons
manifolds
etc.
Other than some hardware, the only interchangable part would be the connecting rods. Same from 90-05

Are the parts interchangeable?
