It was great to meet many of the guys for the first time. Seemed like OPM worked on my car the entire weekend, Well its probably because they did! Finally we got the car right for Sunday morning, after changing the two rear shocks. I ran personal best laps in that qual session and moved up a bit on the grid. If it was not for OPM, I would have packed my bags early and gone home very frustrated. Thanks to Danny for sharing data, and Vid with me, now if I could just get that T7 down... Thanks to Charbs for a bit or encouragment and lots of laughs. Thanks to Lamb for diagnosing the handling problems that we fought all weekend. Last but not least Thanks to Drago and the East Street Band, for the power! hopefully next year East Street can provide me a better driver

Like to Congratulate Cliff Brown and my team mate Pat Sandlin for the two wins in the Nationals. Pat is a great friend and teamate and has been so close so many times, glad to see he finally got it done this weekend!
I don't want to ramble on and whine, bitch and complain.. but I will anyway
My weekend started great, slowly but surely getting the new car sorted.. On Friday the car was flawless, fast and the best handling car I have ever driven. The handling never went away, but the power did After the STL race, I was in line to get weighed and heard a rod bearing noise just off idle.. So I decided not to turn a $1000 problem into a $6000 problem and missed SM race. We are really pushing and trying to get all we can from these engines, we opened up rod tolerances on my engine to see if we would gain anything.. looks like we gained a little heartache.
I have to thank Stu and Rob at BSI for putting my spare engine in at the track. Had they not offered to put in the spare, I wasn't racing, I was a little disgusted. They got it done super fast and I was ready to go for Sunday morning. I ran STL race and had little time getting ready for the National. I ended up with a R/R wheel that was about to fall off, so I parked it from fourth and watched the end of the race from the hill. Pat and Cliff put on a great show, really fun watching these races anywhere, but Road Atlanta in particular.
Not sure if and when my luck will turn around, but since the last session of qualifying at the Runoffs last year, it has pretty much been a down hill slide, a real comedy of errors, mishaps and bad luck topped with even more bad luck. My season reminds me of a Three Stooges episodes. Fortunately my teamates are stepping it up and doing well, thanks Craig and Pat!

Congrats to Cliff and Pat!
I swear your little story there sounds a lot like my last year. Maybe we are even more alike than just in shape
