I have been running this 1.6 for a while. I set the timing per book, (timing wire crossed in diog box)
The timiing set at 14 idle seems like almost 38@ 4500rpm. My prior experience says that this is way too much for real power, with the small pistons and clean chambers.
Does anyone have a 4500rpm timing value , that is know to run well?
Thanks, Mike Ogren

Is there a chance that some nice racer could check his timing @ 4500rpm and get back to me pretty please?
Thanks, MM

Set it to 14* as per the shop manual and you are good. This is a street car engine, total max advance is set by the ecu.
