The car was so hooked up this weekend at Grattan. This took my record from last year by 7 tenths. Enjoy!

Notice the squealing when the inside rear unloads in 7 and 10, what should I be looking for?

GREAT LAP. BIG time slip. Not many fast options through that turn. (not that I have EVER did that turn fast) Mazda Comp or Torsen? Toyo's?

I don't have that worn/replacing knowledge of the Torsen. :noidea:

How about it guys, a little support about the Torsen. Dave Wheeler, how about a bit of support.

But I do know from reading, when the Torsen is unloaded enough it acts just like an open Differential.

Put the Mazda Comp in for the Grattan track???

The way it drove I wouldn't like to change anything. Just kind of spooks me because a couple drivers blew differentials that weekend. Can we pick your brain Dave W???

Love Grattan, but I have a theory that it's hard on Miata diffs. Only mechanical DNF I ever had was when I broke my MazdaComp there. I'm pretty sure it happened when I landed after the jump.

Blew my Mazdacomp at Grattan on Saturday...not sure whether I should go with the torsen or the new cusco diff...any comment? I have a 1.6 and not sure I have enough torque to turn that torsen!

JR...my diff (or tires???) made the identical sounds in the identical turns.....all weekend long

My diff didn't make that sound last weekend ..... but was new last year.

As for the weekend - congrats on a phenomenal drive to sweep the weekend but HEY, stop trying so hard, you're making us look bad ;)

Also would note, that last year, the sound was not present, this year after the sealant was added, there was that sound. Last weekend when I ran hoosiers at Grattan, I didn't notice the sound....just some more info

You're right, I also watched my friends spec e30 lap and he had the same noise, but it just sounds like metal..
