MEATHEAD Racing had a one, two finish is SM this weekend with Lee York winning his second SM race in a row followed closely by Tim Jacobs. Lee and Tim qualified P1 and P2 for both races swapping spots from Saturday to Sunday. In SSM, Greg Obadia put on a show. Greg and Lee broke away from the pack for a significant gap due to great team drafting and finished 1,2. Lee made a very small mistake and Greg opened the lead up and never looked back. In SM5 David Jacobs won the 10 lap heat race and lead every lap in his effort, it was his first SM5 pole of the year, way to go David!
Lee York at 18 is one to watch... In SM this year he has won two in a row, has a bunch of podiums and is running my 1.6 Race Engineering powered car. Davis Dewurst,a 1.6 can win!
Ted Cahall also won both Days in STL double dipping in his SM5 car. Way to go TED!!! Well on your way to a STL champioship.
Congratulations MEATHEAD Racing Drivers Greg Obadia, Lee York, Tim Jacobs and David Jacobs

Congrats guys !
Mike how is SM5 shaping up in your region. Has this class got leg and in your opinion is it going to make it there? How long before it becomes a class with decent entries around the country?

We have 11 SM5 cars in our region. We have yet to have them all show up at the same event. I know lots of folks are building them now and taking a look for next year. I know we will have 2 more for certain and probably 4 more before the end of the season.
The cars are great. We are besting ITS and ITR cars everywhere. Its like a SM on steroids. We are starting to get the cars dialed in. 2:14 at VIR, 1:24 at Summit. 2:15 at the Glen....

Davis Dewurst,a 1.6 can win!
Mikis, congrats to the MEATHEAD Team.
No question the 1.6 can & does win. My only question has ever been, can a 1.6 win at you know where. Maybe we'll know after the June Sprints.
