Hey gang,

So you just got done tangling with the Oregon and Washington boys, why not head south to battle with the SoCal crowd? There's a great event going on at Buttonwillow in two weekends. They've put together GREAT media coverage and have lined up some serious sponsorship and prizes. If you're not a NASA regular, I promise to help make it easy for you to get entered, get licensed and get tech'd. We have several NorCal drivers heading down south and would LOVE to get a few more.

Who's in?

---------------------

The June 23 and 24 event at Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a crossover race for Spec Miata and Spec E30 in which drivers from Northern California will earn regional points while battling drivers from Southern California. That means big fields and lots of competition.

The event will be highlighted by a comprehensive media package by GoRacingTV.com, which will cover the Spec Miata and Spec E30 races. Not only will GoRacingTV.com have five cameras around the track to capture the action, but it also will install more than 15 GoPro cameras to capture the in-car excitement. In addition, GoRacingTV.com will be in the pits conducting vignette interviews before and after the races.

What’s more, there are cash and prizes up for grabs. First place winners in Spec Miata and Spec E30 will win $500 each in King’s Cash sponsored by TrackHQ.com. NASA also will award a carbon-fiber crew headset from Sampson Communications to the hard charger, and there will be even more prizes up for grabs from Mothers Waxes and Polishes and more.

Weekend video vignettes can be seen during the event weekend on GoRacingTV.com and on their mobile iPhone or Android App. The half-hour summary show also will be available on the GoRacingTV.com and through their App, a week following the races.

“I had the opportunity give professional level exposure to our drivers,” said NASA national chairman Ryan Flaherty, “and since these classes have been steadily growing, I wanted to showcase the camaraderie, competition, driving talent, and overall fun that so many of our racers have at NASA events.”
