I have had two develop deadspots in the last two months. One at idle and one at about 1400 rpms.. Can't see how I could have hurt them---I assume a age thing...
Anything I am missing?
Throttle postition Sensor failures?--failing?

Did you see a problem in car or just testing sensor? I havent seen any problems? Just in idle air control motor, they fail all the time

Car would start fine open loop. As soon as it would warm-i assume also going closed loop the idle would drop and then catch right at stall. It didnt sound like iac, except for the lack of a good idle. Changed the iac and nothing changed. Changed out the tps and perfect. Second one i found breaking in a new motor and i was manually adjusting the idle up with the stop screw. Found the same dead stop just higher in the range. I have adjusted the screw back and can find the dead spot just by slowing turning the tps.
