Pretty darn amusing. It'd be hugely annoying trying to finish the race with wheel positioned as it was after the frantic reattachment... too funny...!

Because of the potential of the steering wheel miss-location issue I have marked the steering wheel hub & QD hub.

Mine has a double spline on one end, where the wheel can only be mounted one way...

Throw that POS in the garbage!!!! :noidea: Buy a good hub adapter like the NRG we use, It goes on and spins until it locks in place, when it locks, it is on straight , which is the only way it will lock in place. It is by far the best on the market IMO We put on every new car we build. They are really nice,

If somehow that happened with the NRG, and it wouldn't... You slap it on and spin it until it locks in place and get back on the gas, no fumbling around. It would have been 1/10 th the time

The NRG looks interesting. I've got and have previously used a Sweet. http://sweetmfg.biz/...6&cat=61&page=1

I'd never seen the NRG until SM. Is that a commonly used part in the sports car/endurance world?

I am running one of the NRG units in our B-Spec 2, works great and hard to re-attach the wrong way.

We put the NRG hub on every car we build and convert current builds to NRG. We have been using them for the past 5 years without issue. The added benefit is there is no slop in the wheel. It is very inexpensive for the level of performance. One of the best racing part finds out there.

NRG 2.5 only QR that will go on my cars. A bit pricey but worth every penny. As an added bonus it's moveable from car to car, no welding necessary.
