It was pretty hot in the July at the SFR SCCA race at Thunderhill with temps in the 90s. It was the first time I noticed the stock water temp gauge move. Problem is that I only noticed it had moved after the race... A couple of people lost water and engines for various reasons that weekend.

Long story short, I bought a water temp gauge and then set about making a bracket for the gauge that would position it right smack in front of my face. Took me multiple attempts to get the bracket exactly how I wanted it so that it wouldn't obstruct view of the tack and only minimal obstruction of the speedo.

Anyway, here are a couple of pics. I'm kinda happy how it turned out. It could use a little more finishing but this ain't a show car. :) Hoping to put the location to the test at Laguna Seca at the end of the month for the last SFR SCCA race. Then paint it black and clean up the rough spots a bit.

I also made a bracket for my lap timer. More on that another time. :)
