you guys are using to much brake.

I buy 20.00 rotors at NAPA they will last me a season with no issues.


I'm with Frank. Brakes are sooo over rated!

OK there "Bugatti", but today you are lapping Mid Ohio with ~125 HP of engine and ~600 HP of brakes.

But it would be fun to see you try the opposite :) ... my napkin here says you'd be getting between 0.15 and 0.3g of deceleration, which is somewhere between what glare ice and packed snow would support if you had "overrated" brakes!

In my old RX7, I had one that had cracked, but I didn't know it. It felt like thump, thump under braking, almost like a warped rotor but less frequent and more severe. What threw me off was because on the warmup lap, it went away once I heated up the brakes. Fortunately, it performed fine till I discovered it post session. Better to be lucky than good.
