Looks like great info on this board. Making my first post as a thread for videos. Had a great day at Thunderhill last Sunday, 12/30, with SCCA members. Here is my fastest lap.
The video system is called Racelogic Video VBOX Lite. It's a 2-camera system and there is no post processing. The driver analysis software is incredible:

1. No coasting allowed... hard brake or gas!
2. Sounds like you are getting wheel spin? Torsen time! If you have one then something is wrong to allow both tires to spin(set/up, tires)
3. Unless traffic, try 5 and 11 in 3rd
Do you have a link to your data collection system?

Hi Ron,Welcome! Are you going to be joining the SM class this year in SFR? Is this car SM prepped? Couple observations...

Thanks! This Miata will remain street-legal. I've been instructing for a dozen years now and would love to participate in SM or other classes one of these days. Here's a link to Racelogic's Video VBOX Lite (I'm a dealer).
- Yeah, I know...in a perfect world. Practice what I preach.
- Definitely time for an LSD.
- Data has shown it's faster 2nd to 3rd. I think gearing is a little taller in a stock Miata vs. SPEC (4.1 vs. 4.3)?

There are a few guys that drive to the track. The most famous is the Sharpie car.
