Everything Danny said, the fender contact is primarily due to the added width of the hoosier.

Most people take out some of the negative camber, otherwise we run pretty much the same.

Fender rolling has been done all along, but according to the GCR is not legal. JIM, MEATHEAD !!!!!!!!

Fenders and wheel openings shall remain unmodified. It is
permitted to roll under or flatten any interior lip on the wheel
opening for tire clearance. Non metallic inner fender liners may
be removed.

Speaking of tape, what of those who run tape along the top of the R chin spoiler to cover the small gap between the spoiler and the bumper cover. Illegal, correct?

By the book it is non compliant. But there is no gap if installed correctly and not ripped off several times. If someone used duct tape to hold their chin spoiler on rather than spend the money to buy another "I" would have a hard time protesting that or Dq'ing some one for it. Most likely a log book entry to "fix"

Huh? We must be talking about two different definitions of fender rolling.

Since the rule specificly says "interior lip" My strict interpritation is that the "wheel opening" must remain unmodified, un flared.

Do I agree with that interpritation, HECK NO. But that is how a weinie would protest.

Drago. what prompted the change to the tape on the "tape on the radiator screen" to control temp? Curious as to the thinking behind this
thanks

Must be an upper midwest thing. I've alway thought lip rolling and fender rolling were the same thing. (as opposed to fender flaring)

Who knew?

A)Our cars have been running that way for years
B) Our cars typically run good
A+B= They must be getting an advantage through this that we are not thinking about :crying2: We need to make that illegal :)

This was a big deal in production, tech inspectors wanted it clarified whether compliant or non compliant in SM after the Runoffs. SMAC decided to make it non compliant. I didn't stand in the way of it as I clearly effected by the decision.

I agree

In the upper midwest the process is called rolling, the results depend on what your rolling, lip, fender or cigarettes. :noidea:
Outside the upper midwest call it what you care, the results are the same unless you use a BFH. :whistling:
