Jim and Danny already have all the championships, and one of them may just take it this year ;-)

With 70+ cars on the grid I would have to says lady luck is going to play a big part in the outcome. At the very least it will be exciting.
IMHO a SM win this year would be the most coveted win of all classes there. Whom ever makes it to the top step will be able to hold his/her head very high.

I don't want to come off sounding like a prude but I think that 70+ drivers need to spend a little time before next week thinking about the section of track between the carousel and Canada corner. Historically speaking (and some not so long ago) we've had a fair amount of trouble in our class in this part of the course. A number of wrecks and full course yellows. Over the years I have seen some horrific incidents through this section (If you don't already know there was a death that occurred just past the kink in 1997). I think as a group we can race close and hard and that we can also avoid the big wreck simply by applying a little extra judgement here and there.
I don't know who will win but for sure it will be someone that does a lot of good things throughout the week including navigating this part of the course very well.

With 70 cars I think a better vote is an over under on 4.5 laps of green flag racing.

3 podium finishes
2 2013 NASA nats
1 2013 Scca runoffs

which creates an additional sense of urgency at the start of the race to move to the front before the mayhem starts ...
weather permitting, the 3-5 potential race winners will be known by 9:10 AM next Tuesday.

The entry list has at least 9-12 possible winners, maybe as many as 14. An optimist would say 71. What other class has as many as 6, SRF?

The list of experienced guys with the motor and setup/prep to get the win is about 7 deep. There's another 8 or so wildcards that have a shot at the podium depending on all the usual factors. That's 15 guys fighting for 3 podium spots. It's going to be interesting!

Well, I'm excited about just being there, and competing. Hopefully things go well. Any help will be appreciated. Good luck to everyone, and hopefully we all behave.

If for a moment if I wanted to continue these friendship picks, I would pick one of my friends to be the 2013 Runoffs Champion, he races with Kristen Novak at every race at Road America. Jay, I put you on the spot.

Well there are two problems with your post... First the small one.. We wont be here in 2103. The second and a far bigger problem is you have no friends, who are you trying to kid?
