I currently have a '91 Spec Miata. But, I am looking to purchase a Miata for the street/track. Budget is about $6,000. Would ideally like to find a '99-'00 with matching hardtop, but just in case I can't, what year of NA might be the best. I'm thinking of a 1.8 but not sure as to the OBD-1 vs OBD-2 cars. The '96 and '97's seems to have the most HP of the NA's (133), but can't verify weight. Would really appreciate any thoughts. It's a long winter here in the NW, so this is my winter project. Thanks.
