Just an idea... this year because of how the holiday falls, the Sonoma Sprints will be a two-day event Sat/Sun July 5-6 and the track will hold their annual July 4th drag races Friday.  Would anyone be interested in setting up some unofficial SCCA drag races?  Bonus: this gets you into the paddock earlier!

 

I've never done a quarter-mile run... this should settle the engine builder debate.

Brilliant idea unless we have to pay for track time by the second, that could get expensive!

It's actually a really cool idea, but I wouldn't do it in my Miata. lol.

I'm not sure a Spec Miata would ever break into the teens.

Wednesday night drags are usually $25.  I suggest we try a standing start for the Spec Miata Festival race... so that people who do the drags have a significant practice advantage.
