2002 Build. Yea, or Nay?

I was able to sheer of the threaded boss on one side of the rear subframe removing a stubborn bolt. Plan to get the bolt and boss off with an angle grinder. I guess I could weld a nut/washer on the subframe instead of paying the $600 and get the same functionality. Is it worth the work?
