Ed, thank you for you incredibly prompt attention.

 

Apart from this one aberration, the entire weekend was just amazing for myself and everyone in attendance.

 

For those of you that have not raced here over the 4th of July weekend, you are really missing out. This is a world class track and facility, one steeped in history and tradition, and the town of Watkins Glen and the surrounding finger lake area with their vineyards and wonderful restaurants is something that you will never forget. This is my third visit to this weekend and like the June Sprints and the ARRC, this is one of my favorite events

Below is a link to my Sunday video which ended up being probably my best comeback ever (sorry had to bleep out a lot of cursing).  I was wrong in an earlier post as I actually dropped all the way back to 10th behind Sebastian.  My opinion is actually that the front two weren't getting through the corners well at all but rather Machavern has a HUGE motor.  You can see evidence of this in the opening laps up the back straight and out of the toe.  Although I would recommend watching the entire video, key points are called out in the "about" section for you to jump around if you'd like. ENJOY!

Thanks Jim!  One of my favorite moments in the video is when you and Alex tried going into the bus stop side by side.  I kept my foot planted and luckily made it work out :-)

Awesome vid Tyler, wish I could have made it harder for you but there was a language barrier between my steering rack and the bottom of my tires pretty much the whole race.  Your car and you seemed extremely hooked up, I think you could have won that race...

Not my favorite or Alex's I was trying to hang on to third. I can see clearly in your video, the car just jumps off inside curb and slides out and into Alex.   I agree with Alex, you drove realy well and seemed spot on.

Thanks Alex.  This is the first time we ever really raced each other and it was a blast.  You didn't make it easy on me as you attempted a pass each time you had a draft.  The last couple of laps were pretty crazy with us swapping spots a number of times.

Great video and drive Tyler! Not normally a fan of helmet cams but this wasn't nearly as jumpy as they normally seem to be. The 2 car back dive bomb wasn't pretty...you did a great job keeping both cars in one piece.

 

 

Being this was a Major weekend and all in this video were  receiving HOOSIER tires in the end...surprised a better effort isnt made to cover up competitor stickers as it states in the contingency rules  Competing organizations as well!

Great vid!   One suggestion is that a NACA duct works better than cupping the hand out the window (though that works in a pinch.)  A tennis ball works great for cold or inclement weather.

I'm watching the videos from the recent SM races at WGI.  The video of race 2 from Yiannis Tsiounis is giving an error: WGI 7-6-2014 Spec Miata SCCA Majors Race 2.  Does anyone know if it is still available?
