Entry List
Verges, pole & won Saturday. Vielmas qual'd P2, finished P5. (He was P7 after lap1, so there's probably a story there).

Congrats Keith! Some guys out side of TX may not know(unless you are racing Spec Racer Ford), but this guy is Bad Fast!
And his 1.6 did everything it could when he did Road America.

sounds like I may have spoken out of turn..... If so, I hope the data I am getting now is correct, If so a BIG CONGRATS to one of the best guys in the garage Craig Janssen! I hope I am right. Somebody fill us in
Thanks Craig. An unexpected first place trophy for me today.
Thanks to Steve (my crew buddy and great friend) for all his help - and thanks to Chris H for giving me a setup that freaked me out a bit during quali, but which rocked during the race once I adapted my driving style. Its great driving with the level of drivers here. Clean, fast and predictable. Brian got second and really kept my eye on the mirrors all race. I was hoping he would bobble but he was to damn clean the whole race and made it difficult for me.
Congrats to Willy Keating on third and fast lap of the race.
Now on to tomorrow.

Congrats Craig. Even though I constantly give you a hard time, you are one of the nicest guys I know. Well deserved.

Willie was on the wood with fast lap!!! Go Willie.
Calling my shot, putting on pole and will lead wire to wire. Set up should be dead nuts and car is strong where weak!!!

But yes, my car was on rails and the fight upfront would have been a little more fun for me had I not made that mistake.
Congrats to the podium. (Don't know what happened w Keith in tech but no doubt he is a great driver) I agree with CNJ, the front runners were all "fast, clean and predictable"

You should join the ranks of motivational speakers, I'm sure tomorrow we will have several drivers fully energized to have you eat crow for this post

I started on P2 and had the lead by T1 courtesy of a good start and help from Ceasar. Fun to lead for a few laps with the animal pack behind me. MPR got inside me on T1 and we did a side by side at 85mph (that's what this is all about!) and I was able to hang on to get back in the front by T3. Bill picked me up at T10 (great outside move) and I then got a run on him on the main straight. Instead of being patient (sigh) I took the opportunity to do the outside move on T1 cause I just like the feeling of it . I thought I had things sort of under control till I shifted from 5th to 2nd (fortunately punched the clutch immediately and no overrev) and promptly went gardening. Surprisingly the front pack did not wait for me so I spent the rest of the race amusing myself.
All in all a fun weekend. Great weather, good people and clean racing. Pity I was a doofus today.

Stock head VVT was no match for the fire breathing 99s on the front straight.
Fire breathing 1.6 was no match for the top 99's nor VVT - front and back straights. #fact
Congrats to Bill for a great solo drive to the finish while the rest of us scrambled to keep it together. I didn't think your car was going to hold up since you had issues saturday so I flipped a coin at the start and had to go w CNJ.
Great car control by MPR22 and Alex working with tail-happy cars toward the end. There were a couple of times I anticipated the 3 car pile-up and it didn't happen.
