I'm trying to gauge how the customers of the builders feel compared to those not running them, regardless of what they actually have.

So you fit into one of the first two, either you are disappointed that you were not given that additional advantage, or happy that you weren't sold a non-compliant head. I know there can be some of each, but which is most true for you?

I have 4 engines, 2 each for '95 and '00.  Those installed in the cars each have only 2-3 weekends on them.  Pretty fresh.  The spare engines each have 3 or more seasons on them.  3 different engine builders among the 4 engines.  Likely all 4 have heads with builder plunge cuts.  Would have to pull the heads to inspect them but most of the heads should be legal per 2014 rules. A move to stock heads would probably mean all 4 could no longer be used.  That would be expensive.

The str stuff isn't stuff that I feel had a good shot at making it through runoffs tech, despite the pre protest check not catching it. I expect pro engine gains to be in places that are impossible to enforce.

There a are lot of pro built heads that are legal to the 2014 rules. That just needed to be said...  I've heard the 100% of pro heads are illegal comments, which is wrong... Again, just needed to be called out for those of you who are just following the soap opera.

Not sure I disagree or agree with you but 100% of pro heads will be illegal under the proposed new rules for 2015 topeka powow nasa scca mazda tribes all coming up with a peace accord, which to my knowledge still stands to this day, so get your stock head on the car for january if you want to get techincal...

I did not touch the poll.  No idea. The site has not been working well for me. I am out of town at a wedding. It is working ok for the rest of you?

 

It has been pretty slow (since yesterday or so?), but other than that is has been working fine (until the poll disappeared.)

I know I had a head done in 2009 or 2010 and asked for a legal head. So what I'm getting from all of this is,if it was to the rules in 2009 or 2010 it's no good if the rules are changed. Is this correct ?
