I think you should consider spending a little more and getting an enclosed trailer. For about $5,000 you can get a 20 or 24 foot enclosed trailer. Your F150 will handle it fine and then you don't have to worry about securing tools and gear at a hotel and being in Florida you can keep your gear dry as you will end up towing in the rain often. I used an open trailer for about a year and then switched for the reasons of security and weather protection
