There's no room for facts here, the boat has already set sail.
Also James heard about it, I supplied the link after.

Oops that probably counts as a fact too...
Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

I'm 99% sure they added "not legal for Spec Miata" after the fact....because I looked for some type of wording and I didn't see it.
I was thinking the same thing Todd but really couldn't 100% say that was the case so.........
I can see how people would be confused with the plexiglass window and all.
I'm sure they'll be coming out with the de-froster and headliner versions soon, stay tuned.

Frank, P, some places we don't need to go. I received the same letter Steve H. did.
Saw it when they first sent it out but didn't read it until I saw this thread, sooo, maybe it was added after the fact. I have no idea.
My first thought was that it must be for Chump/Lemons, or other classes where it maybe legal, but that's strictly supposition on my part.

Now you're getting the hang of this!

I didn't lose, I just got outspent!
As someone that is looking to lower the weight of my car (and myself) to get closer to the min weight for the SSM class here in SFR, I would trade for this top in a heartbeat if it was legal. On a good day I am 50# above the minimum. I say adopt the top for this class to allow greater parity for all drivers.

Had it for a long time, Tom. Just rarely feel the need to chime in...
Glad to see you racing finally!

They state it is a racing top, so I don't know who else it would be designed for except SM ( at least for the NA and NB models ).
There are plenty of other classes for racing Miatas. PT and E (enduro) in NASA, ITA etc. in SCCA, LeMons/Chumpcar etc. One has to wonder how this top compares to ones that are already on the market like: http://treasurecoast...fits-90-05.html
