Nice to see the entry list growing to over 40 cars at both the Homestead and Sebring races. Surprised that there are more registered for Homestead than Sebring but I am sure that this will change. There are several contenders whose names do not appear YET, but that I am sure will be there.
So it looks like another REALLY deep and competitive start to the South Eastern Majors Conference. It truly is a wonderful thing being in the South East with a season that extends for the full 12 months, although most of us take December off to regroup!

Danny, your wish is starting to come true for sebring. few more people registered including D-Mac and I know of a few who still have left to do so. still left to register from the autotechnik camp John Carter, Jeff and Cory. This is one deep field of talent and I am sure we will get close to the 60 mark. I am very excited.

It's not wrong. Or was that a rhetorical question?
1st time on that reg site so it was a question.
Now my question is, was there a 70 car cap on the software reg or track ?

Because the hosting region uses DLB?

Shows you what a bucket list track does in terms of entries. Spoke at length with Deanna Flanagan and Eric Prill about this this past weekend at Homestead.
Also about the stupidity of ending the South East Majors season in April. And of course the issue of the Runoffs and NASA Champs happening the same weekend.

"Which begs the question: why is SCCA using DLB"
Because the hosting region uses DLB?
Was that SCCA's answer to the Runoffs registration system issue?

I believe the difference between DLB & Motorsportreg is when they charge your credit card. I was told Motorsportreg charges it as soon as you register while DLB does it after the event and it makes it easier to handle a no show for DLB.
I'll try to verify this.
It is completely up to the host region which system they use.

Decided to escape the North East winter (16" of snow forcast for Syracuse today!) and ended up about 3 miles from the track. I'd like to attend the race this weekend but have never been to a SCCA event as other than a participant. Are spectators welcome? If so, how do I gain entry?

I've heard Motorsportreg in SFR has booked months a head and charged after the races.
Isn't DLB, along with the 1.6 rule, part of the SE seceding from the union.
