Here's the oversteer save that Keith was talking about:

Quick hands John, and you kept your foot on it - the only way to keep it alive. Great driving!

The smartest plan would be to avoid that kind of slide in the first place, but you play the hand you're dealt.

John, what a save! What camera were you using? Original Go-Pro?
You guessed it. It's the original wide angle version.
I've used it for a couple years of autoxing and been impressed with it's versatility. I just wish it worked better when placed inside a dark vehicle.

I didn't see that one very well. I was too busy trying not to wreck. The one where I passed you (same spot) had my eyes the size of dinner plates. It looked to me like you got into a huge slo-mo tank slapper.
Half of me was excited you were giving me an opportunity to pass. The other half of me was hoping you didn't come off the track in lots of little pieces after you hit the wall for your sake and then I'd have my own hands full trying not to collect some of the bigger pieces.
I heard Thomas saying he was going through that section flat. After seeing what your car did, I thought about it but tried to stay in the wagon ruts and still took a breath at that spot. T9 in the rain is the only time I think of it as a turn.
When the black flag came out, I was thinking "Oh S***! Now we're right back together and this time I'M the rabbit."

Not sure about the old version but the new has a light setting in the menu. You can set it for the light inside the car or outside. For outside as long as the center of the screen is your windshield it will adjust for outside light(inside the car will appear darker). But it has to be on that setting...otherwise the inside of the car will look great and the outside washed out somewhat depending on the day.

Good news is there were no rivers across the course. Bad news is the track was mostly one big lake!
Now try that in an open cockpit, no windshield and no wipers...said the SRF driver. Wettest race weekend I have ever been at. Here's hoping that's our local rain race weekend for the season!
