In terms of customer service, charisma, likeability, Danny and Chris Puskar are just two of the most likeable guys in motor racing, and I am thrilled to move my braking business to G-Loc. I am proud to be associated with them

I sell every brand of Sm pad except Carbotech. The Puskars are great people and wish them luck in their new business.

1.6 owners/drivers recommend using G-LOC pads...
In this case it's better to be good than lucky, so "be good" Danny and Chris. Looking forward to using your pads!

What? Somebody explain this to me. Puskars ARE Carbotech, or did they sell?
Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

It would be interesting if they posted a write-up comparing their product to the Carbotechs and why theirs are a better choice.

They did not sell and the rest of the Puskars are still at and running Carbotech. What? Somebody explain this to me. Puskars ARE Carbotech, or did they sell?
I don't want to say what happened with the situation because its not my place to say and will leave it up to them if they decide to share with everyone.
But again Carbotech is still open for business.
Good like to Chris and Danny and hope the best for you guys !

I bet the products will extremely similar if not identical, but the development will continue at G-LOC, not sure at carbotech as Chris and Danny were the driving force. It would be interesting if they posted a write-up comparing their product to the Carbotechs and why theirs are a better choice.

Agreed. I love the XP8/XP10 combination on my car now, but don't want to jump off without seeing some results or better info first.
I have exchanged a few emails with Chris and/or Danny some time ago and they were great to work with, so I'll definitely be paying attention to where this goes.

I switched to G-Loc as soon as they announced they were open for business. Danny and Chris are good guys, love racing, and produce and exceptional brake.

the feel of the G-Locs are almost identical to that of Carbotech. I suspect that the compounds are very similar at this time but might deviate more in the future as Chris and Danny do further development.
As you work at this sport you will find that there is a LOT of time that can be made on the track in the braking sectors, and having brakes that suit your driving style will be a tremendous asset.
G-Loc makes brake pads for the Miata in a variety of compounds. I would suggest speaking to Danny, telling him what you are after in a brake pad, describe your driving and braking style (threshold, progressive, trail etc.) and then getting a couple of different sets, and dedicating a full test day to determine the perfect combo. They have pads with HUGE (best Trump voice) initial bite that suit a late threshold braker, but you need a sensitive foot. They have pads suited for a more progressive braker, and others that are better suited to trail braking.
I dedicated many sessions on multiple days to figure out what suited me best. It was worth the expense. I am a very late threshold braker and I love a LOT of initial bite. The combo that I run will not suit everyone, and as far as I know there are only a couple of guys running my combo. I also run a completely different set in the wet.

Your Trump voice some needs work .. so I fixed it for you.
Also, our team just started switching over to G-LOCs but I haven't gotten on board yet but I am toying with the idea. However, they are much more costly but I heard they last longer than Hawks? Is that true? I feel like I get quick lock ups a little too frequently with the hawks so does that help? That could also be user error though ...
