This is a really fun track, a bit long from me and sort of in the middle of nowhere, but plan to make it up.  People are really nice there too.

I always look forward to racing at Hallett!  Glad to be competing against Jesse again!  Oh, and I guess that Jim guy is okay too.  

 

I also heard there is some out of town ringers coming to join the party so it should be a great time, which is par for the course.

After taking last year off I just can't stay away from driving.  Currently building a new EP car and have a friend/customer with this SM that he and I will split this year with me in SM and him running STL.  Next year he will be out in the car in SM by himself.  What better way to knock off the rust and get back in the groove than in a SM!  That's my thought anyway and appreciate Tim Johnson loaning me his awesome Miata for this year!

A 1.6L almost within 1 second of the pole.....  We should just stop the event now and take back all the 1.6L changes.  This is chaos.

Not really......  I am curious to see how Jesse does as well.

 

It's just funny to me how much the rumor mill has been talking lately about the 1.6L....  I keep hearing that we (not sure who the we is) are taking back all of the changes that were given to the 1.6 because it is now such an overdog.   As usual this stuff comes with not an ounce of data to back up or support the position, just fear tactics.  I also heard Jesse was hired by Mazda to go "prove" the 1.6L still can't cut it and that this would be the next step in getting the 1.6 even more help.  Not true either......

 

As far as Jesse's qualifying position..... Qualifying has never been the 1.6's issue, so lets see how they race and if we have gotten the 1.6L the little bit of needed love it deserves to be more in line with the 99-05's.  I am confident we have done this without making it an overdog in any way, but I guess only the race results and some more time will tell.
