Can anyone recommend a valve spring compressor that works especially well with the Miata heads?

If you were to procure one which will work with head assembled to engine, you could use it head on or off. :yep:

I prefer a linkage setup compared to the screw type. Once the linkage setup is set to the appropriate depth, the over-centering action makes things go really quick.... leaving lots of time to argue with your keepers.

If servicing springs &/or seals without removing the head it looks great, otherwise probably slow compared to the typical C-clamp type.
