Race 2 was fun while it lasted! It was a little bit on the wild side, so I was very content just riding at the back of the lead draft, just waiting for everyone to dial the intensity back.

Here is Race 2 from my perspective. It was my first time at Daytona running up front with the fast guys, and I knew I had a lot to learn about bump drafting and keeping an eye on my water temp...but I expected it to be this crazy, plus having to keep an eye on not blowing up my car. I still have so much to learn with being up front, but I didn't make any mistakes big enough to ruin someone else's race, so I was happy with that. I started 9th and finished 5th, my result may have been better if I had read the incident with Cory and Selin a bit different, but it's tough to always make the right call to avoid two spinning cars in front of you. 

 

This had to be one of the most fun and intense races I've ever competed in. Congrats to Jeff on the win and John Davison for finishing 2nd. 

 

Enjoy, and don't beat me up to bad on my driving.

That was fun to watch, thanks for sharing John. Way better than F1 qualifying and that normally is the best hour of motorsports viewing anywhere. Damn, going 3 wide, two deep, banging off the rev limiter across the start finish line, looking for 6th gear (yes I saw you look!) So much fun, so disappointed I wasn't there to join in the fun
