I read some where that some regions offer a discount for the same driver running the same car in two classes. Seems like a good idea to bring in some extra funds for the club. Does your region do this? I can't find the thread where I read this and was looking for info to pass on to my region. tia

Here, a regional is $315. 2nd etry same driver, same car $140. 3rd entry $90...plan to be busy if you're running 3 groups.

I have seen one guy enter two classes, same run group to collect points for both. Had a lot of funny looks but hey...his money.

thanks for the responses guys. i'm making a list and sending it to the registrar in my region, hoping that my region will start giving a discount for double dipping as well. Anymore regions out there?

And we thank you for it Jerry. Twice the racing at our regionals for $150 is a great deal. Too bad the first race weekend is a National with the awful schedule and very limited racing. If our region's National race was mid-season, none of us would attend. But since it's the first race on the schedule and we've been bench racing for the last 6 months we gotta do it or go insane. I wish all of our race weekends could be triples!

I believe council offers a second class fir $100 and the local scca region (Chicago and Milwaukee) are similar. They also allow sms in a third class (stu?). In council there are vintage double dippers as well as some in the prod classes. Not just spec.

Depending on circumstances NASA Florida lets Racers double dip into Time Trials for $100 to $109 extra for the weekend.
