I am trying to remove the oil pan on a 1.6. The FSM says remove the pan bolts and remove pan. In my case, the baffle seems to want to come off with the pan and it is hung up on the oil pickup.

Is there a trick here?

Use a small screw driver to pry the pan away from the baffle on each side. It's just the silicone sealer holding it together.

You may need to straighten out the baffle when you done depending how rough you need to get with it.

Try using a stiff putty knife, no straightening needed.
