MX5CUP.COM Series Practice Races!

Well after some discussion with Jim about the series this morning we have decided to begin some practice races! We want to test the format waters and get you guys ramped up for what will be a GROUNDBREAKING series! Please be patient and continue to come and play in our sandbox because it is going get interesting! The delay seems to be long, I know, but trust me when I say it will be WELL WORTH the wait! So keep hanging out and tell your friends! We need about a dozen more entrants to get this series off the ground. All I can say is that there are some "LEGAL AREAS" that need to be addressed and as soon as there are done we will get started! So please come on out for a practice race tonight at Laguna Seca. We will follow the schedule from here on out until the series officially starts. I will have approximatly one hour for practice and a 20 min qualifying session followed by a roughly 40 min race. So bring your game face and lets have some fun!
We will use the fixed setup discussed in the practices.

Practice starts at 8pm est.

Update:
Mazda and Skip Barber are on board with a Skip Barber School. Working out details and waiting for them to give me the official "what to say" language. Also have MOTHERS Polish on board, what, how much etc... TBA.
After that Skippy school my plan is to have the winner race a SM with Meathead or a MX5 Cup with AMG. Both say yes, we are trying to figure out the path and have that prize be the ARRC in November. http://buddyfey.blogspot.com/
The problem is that I did not get all this done before my season started which is LOTS of travel early on. Atlanta, St. Pete, Atlanta, Barber, Long Beach in back to back weekends.
Next year we will have staff and the show will be the only of its kind! Keep practicing in our room and thanks for you patience!!

Jim told me he will be tied up with real world racing for another couple weeks, so please just hang in there! As you can see the Prize for this series is BIG! A Skip Barber school followed by a ride in your choice of a Spec Miata with Meathead Racing or a MX-5 with AMS at the ARRC in November. So spread the word and keep an eye on this forum for details!
So try to show up Tuesday night and scope out the competition! See you on track!

Prizes for winning the series look good! These are great opportunities for all that are involved. It looks like my schedule will allow me to play with you guys tomorrow night. Don't beat up on me too bad
LMAO!! The only way we could beat up on you is if you tied one hand behind your back and sit on your right foot, then just maybe we would have a chance! We would still love to have you there to teach us a thing or two!
For you guys worried that Eric would take the prize, they are for non-Pro amateurs only! So yes he is welcome to come and play but the prize is for those who have never raced professionally. So come on out and play to see how you stack up to the likes of our guest celebrity ERIC FOSS!!
Hope you can make it! Thanks Eric!

Well i'm a little late to the game so to speak and the I Racing community for that matter, but I would love to join the racing league. I will have to work out my schedule for Tuesdays as I don't get off work until 6 pm Pacific time, so I might be a little late getting in but I will be there for sure. I will try to make the practice this coming Tuesday if there is one? I ran my first race in I Racing last week so all of you will have to go easy on me. Until then take care.

Welcome Brian! Thanks for checking it out. We should have a cool series with some serious potential. Yeah the time thing is tough, I may see how many east coasters can make it past 10:30. May open up practice longer and start the race a little later.

Does the race start at 8:00 ET, or practice?
Practice will start at 8PM est. I added 15 mins to the usual 60 min practice so you have a shot at making it to qualify or at least by the race start at 9:45 PM est. Sorry guys on the right coast but we need to show some love for left coasters! LOL Race should last until about 10:30 or so eastern.

Thank you Mike for hosting the practice tonight. Sorry I left so fast my computer crashed and when I tried coming back into the room it was gone. I had a great time though!! I'm really looking forward to this race series getting started. I'll try to get in much sooner next time.

Your welcome and thank you for joining. Hope to get a few more for these practices. Sometime in May I hope we will start. See you out there!

I must've done something wrong in qual, because none of my laps were scored. Any tips?
What does "inc" mean in the results table?

I was having issues, too. My ping time sucked last night. You probably saw me warping all over the place.

Another fun week. Yet another new track. Ended the night on a 58.9! 2 more seconds to go to catch mike. Ha! Good to have some more folks out racing.

Thank you Tom. It was great running with you for the short time I was there. I'm looking forward to next week. Cheers!!
