Only 5 SMs are registered for the first race at BIR.

Why doesn't anyone want to make the tow to Brainerd, MN? It should be easy CenDiv points for all the pros on here. :)

From the Silent Generation to the Millennial. :rotfl:

Point A. Only 5 SMs are registered for the first race at BIR.

Point B. There are several tracks WAY closer to home to race (BIR 7 h 10 min, 462.0 mi). Blackhawk Farm, Road America, Milwaukee mile, Grattan, Gingerman.

Point C. There is also along with SCCA, Midwestern Council and NASA.

You get extra CenDiv points for racing at a previously unattended track. Our region was hoping this would help car counts because we are kind of in trouble it seems...

Protest orange drink for illegal body pannels we are down to 4 sm racing. Even easier points lol...

Long drive from Ohio to Minni. Nobody wants to race where there are 15 or less SM cars except the guys who showed up at bhf last time...

Dad and I have talked about it before and are hoping to make it up there someday, but that weekend is not great for us. The low car count also sadly brings down the appeal, and even if that is easy cendiv points, we are not in it for the regional points, moreso for trying a new track. Maybe the Northern Conference should make BIR a Majors, but I dont know if that would greatly improve car counts. The most likely option would be to take away the CAT Majors at Road America as it is the second Majors race in our conference at the same track, but it is my favorite weekend out of the whole year so I personally wouldn't want that.

We do the Blackhawk Majors because it is an hour away so its an easy weekend for us.

I never understood the not enough car argument. If everyone had that philosophy no one would attend.

Anyways the facility could easily support a majors or even a Runoff but it will never happen.

If you want to come up here do it on the weekend before the 4th of July. There are fireworks, drag racing, live music, the Wheelie Bar is open, and you don't need to leave the track.

Is it my job to dump a load on Paul Gilbert as in, if you don't get a win this weekend, you don't deserve.

Paul lurks here, he's been dumped on via e-mail.

Probably the same 3 that tore it up at Heartland Park Topeka Kansas!!!! Next year John Davison needs to go with the Mid States Majors, where he should be able to eclipse this years majors win total of Danny Steyn!

At least the name of this race is fitting for the entry list:  The "LOL" Majors

I don't know why you would want to run when there is only 3 other cars. We want to race! Saying you won a Majors with three other cars doesn't really mean much unless the three other drivers are Drago, Buras, and Steyn. Since they're not theres not much prestige in winning that race or draw to come.

If I won that race or got a podium I wouldn't really talk much about it because I wouldn't personally count it.

Hoping to get my NASA licence swapped over to an SCCA licence for that weekend and get in on SMT or maybe SM if my old Drago Hoosiers are up to it. My stock of tires is now all Toyos. Only a short 90 mile trip for me. Will be at the Slowpokes DE tomorrow for the first outing of the year.
