. Biggest issue with dial caliper is the tendency to measure everything at the tips which cause excessive wear. You have to calibrate along the whole length to check for wear.
Did you notice in video post #19 the bucks up caliper had carbide inner and outer jaws.

Almost sorry I asked! Typical biased opinionated internet know it all blowhard. Besides that I never saw him properly zero the tools, he tossed them around like hammers and still the cheap one performed almost as well. I don’t buy that the cheapo suddenly went off by a factor of 4 after heating the cal block, that makes no sense at all, but he was happy enough finally “prove” it was junk and move on to a diatribe about which looked good or is nice to use, not annoying, etc. etc. I’ll tell you what’s annoying, him.
Pierre on the other hand covered it nicely and fairly and WAY more thoroughly in way less time.
