Track limits. Smack limits. I say let’s race from wall to wall.
I agree!

I generally try not to actually use the actual walls. I know I paid for the whole track...but, there's an inch or two I'd rather not get acquainted with. None of my attempts to use that last inch have worked out in my favor.

In the case of COTA, we definitely pay for every bit of it

You mean wastebook, a wasteland of moronic memes where anything like intelligent discussion is a futile waste of time. The only good thing about it is that the whole thing is so hopelessly disorganized that the garbage is quickly buried by more of the same, never to resurface.More to come, I guess. But on Facebook, smmd reports:

Awesome weekend capped off with a great race yesterday.
It was a four way battle between Matt Reynolds, Danny Steyn, Nick Leverone and myself. Reynolds, Steyn and I swapped the lead a few times while Leverone was closing fast and looked to be the fastest car at the end of the race. We managed a rare sweep and a new track record, Danny Steyn P2 and Nick Leverone for P3, Matt Reynolds finished P4. Good times throughout our camp and the entire paddock. Happy to have my wife, sister, niece, Craig Berry, the entire Vento family in to watch the race.. Thanks to Mike Hern for all the hard work this weekend while sick. Thanks to Hoosier, Mazda, Scca and especially G-Loc, the pads were awesome and really made a difference here.
As I said in the interview below.. That race was a blast!
I hope I have video.. I didn't have Todd there to clear my video cards If i have i will post. i know i have the pole lap, so i will at least post that.

In regards o the DQ. I saw the piece in question, saw what they were complaining about but refused to handle the part as the last time I went down that road.. It screwed up a lot of people. In short, I stayed out of it. The intake was not "port match from intake to cylinder head". The intake is in two pieces, upper and lower. There are four runners in lower intake that meet up with four round holes in upper intake. What the DQ was for was each of these holes were found to be deburred, rather than a sharp edge. Tech inspected three other cars all with sharp edges in place. Who, What, When, How? I have no idea or information.
Was it an advantage? Absolutely not . Is a relief cut .002 over an advantage.. no it is isn't. But by surveys, we all want these rules and we want them enforced. We are paying tech to come to these races and enforce the rules. It is what it is, Steyn put a different intake on for Sunday and finished one spot higher and passed inspection.
Next up Road Atlanta
