I was racing at PR two weekends ago. I might have heard a rattle, started losing power, engine died and now it’s locked. Here’s what I’ve done:
1. Removed spark plugs and timing belt and starter and put in neutral and engine will turn maybe a 1/4” on the crank pulley bolt. Did the same thing with the clutch pedal pressed.
2. Lifted the back end, put it in gear and turned the wheels by hand and the drive shaft spins.
3. Tried to push car in gear with plugs out and no go.
I’m guessing somethings broke in the engine but I’m trying to rule out the tranny.
