Congrats to Bruce and Matt on thier wins this weekend!

We clearly have two camps that have formed in Or Region. We have the under 20 camp (including Spence at 24) and we have the 40+ camp. As a senior member of the 40+ camp I feel obligated to point out that the kids are down 3-zip with no real signs of life. In spite of a couple of poles the little guys haven't managed to bring home the hardware this year. Maybe next month we should give them the front row AND a head start! :P

Just trying to drag out the fun weekend a little longer.... :D

Yea, old guys rule (for now)

Seeing as i'm not "under 20" or "40+" maybe that would explain why I'm so slow....

This is sure going to be a fun year with so many contenders, and with all of the double race weekends, this will be very hard championship to win indeed. Let's just hope Matt doesn't run away with it :) This past weekend was some serious racing. Ken was throwing all his tricks at me during race one. I witnessed and was part of freight train passes, freight train bump drafting, 4 wide turns and everything else that makes this kind of racing the best of the best!!!

We do need to be careful though, the start of race one could have been the demise of more than one car and we don't want anyone to get hurt either. There was a time in Oregon region SM, we were seeing about one total a weekend and there was at least one broken bone in the process. Let's have fun, but let's also take it easy on those starts. Assume you are three-wide through the chicane and all should go well. Let's have fun and be safe at the same time!!!

Ken can't ever get anyone to bite, so I guess I'll have to give him what we wants...

It was a hard fought race and you gave it everything you had but came up short. You aren't going to use that old I jumped my car 50 feet at Thunderhill excuse again are you? I've got video. you're just going to have to dig a little deeper next time :P I may be old, but at least I have my nice hair and I beat your young ass!

I'll be a geezer this fall also. Does that mean we get to make lewd comments about young women in tight t-shirts without getting in trouble? There has to be some upside to being old.

(Thanks Bruce)

You mean that hair styled in toilet while flushing? We let you guys start up front just to give you a chance and you blow it! Besides, if I wouldn't have slipped in some kid's oil, I would have lapped the field! Damn, in the second race I had another kid try dumping water in front of me, but I was ready for them that time.

Keep going Bruce, they'll get the idea. Gotta teach 'em everything!

Hey, if you need a deal on Viagra just let me know. I was getting 5 emails a day for 95% off until the spam filter nailed them.

I tried to dump my oil off line. I think I have the rolling resistance out now so that I can blow a motor over a mile from pit lane and still coast in now too. Based on the commercials, I think Cialis is more a potential sponser for me. Give me a 40 minute window and I might blow up prematurely but if I have a chance any time all day, I might have something to work with and possibly finish a double double. :D

My last weekend at PIR (the July 4 double last year) ended with a ruptured brake caliper (no brakes) at the end of the back straight; you're not the only one who has failed to finish a double.

Weather permitting, I'll give you young folks (that's all of you, pretty much, except Gary and Austin) the increasingly rare thrill of sharing a track with me in two weeks.

This coming from a man who for a whole season complained that he couldn't perform because every time he got up to temp, he'd start to misfire. :D

Touche'. Got me there.

However, don't forget that I'm in the 33 club and you are not.

What's the status on a new engine? Randy and I are going to the Conference race next weekend for some needed practice. Can you make it?

Not sure yet. Mazda said 2-3 days for freight. I ordered it on Monday morning so I expected to have it in the car already but so far all I've recieved is a very lage box with 4 gaskets in it and a mountain of packing paper.

I'm ready to swap parts and install though. I can't make the test day Friday either way. I've already been booked solid with work meetings.

I don't think you're officially a geezer until you've done one lap with your turn signal on.

Based upon the entries it seems that Theime, Garrett, and Schraeder are all geezers now and have moved to a less stressful racing experience in the world of Conference. I understand myself and Randy wanting to actually be in the race for once, but Will? I admit these new carter/racers are tough as nails but I thought the mighty Schraeder was dyed in wool SCCA.
