I have very limited workspace in my garage (1 bay in a two car garage). I don't have enough ceiling height for a lift. And have very limited space between the car and the wall. So, was considering getting a quickjack to use in the garage (even though they say you should have 6ft on both sides). I looked at the MaxJax but I live in a townhouse and have no idea where the pipes are under the garage floor. Don't want to hit those. So, not enthusiastic about this solution but will look at it if you guys think it is worth the extra weight/hassle, etc. of the MaxJax.
Second issue is clearing the bottom of the car. It looks like the Maxjax has a minimum height of 4.5 inches, while the quickjack is 3.75-4.75 depending on which lifting block you use.
I figure someone else has gone through this decision before and am interested in whatever you've learned.
