Rick is still the man to beat for the Great Lakes Champs Series. Nice win on Saturday and two seconds on Sunday in the rain.
Thanks Keith.
I gotta admit that Sunday's rain race was the most stressfufl time I've ever spent in a race car and the hardest I've ever worked for a second place finish. Trying to hold off a bunch of guys running on wets with my 3/32's Toyoy's was absolutely not fun. As for contesting Kevin Gleeson for P1, I had absolutely nothing for him! He was wicked fast in the rain.

Rick, I was watching up in Turn 8. You had an awesome save when you went two tires in the grass at the top of 8.Thanks Keith.

It would make me feel a lot better to learn they were something better. He totally kicked my butt!

No sleep and lots of Red Bull? Aren't these the guys who blew up a diff on Saturday, drove back to their shop in Pensylvania to get the replacement. Installed it in the middle of the night and won both Sunday races? Well deserved wins.

Thanks John, but if the rear end of you car hadn't stepped out entering Thunder Alley on Sunday, I would have finished the race looking at the back of your blue car!
Rick
P.S. I got the idea for those "special shaved rains" from watching Day's of Thunder.

RCS points reflecting the wet racing at Mid-Ohio over Labor Day weekend have been posted on the Great Lakes Division website. Rick "HYHAFL" Deerwester has jumped into a firm lead in SM - but mojo can go away very quickly.
Okay Jerry ... HYHAFL? t'll probably be sorry I asked, but I need a translation.

I have to give credit to Denny & Debbie; but HYHAFL stands for "Have You Hit A Ford Lately?". I was just trying to show a little sensitivity.

Hey - who's going to watch the carnage, err, I mean the NASA Champs Saturday. So far D&D, Guthrie, Murdick, and Heckler will be spectating.
HYDIAFL (Have you driven into a Ford lately)
