Looks dry tomorrow, times will likely come down and positions will probably change. I'm a little biased, but like them the way they are with me in p1, and teamates in p2,4,5

Now back to the grid positions for the line up. As they did the parde lap through T5 I thought, what the _uck did they do revert somehow. Drago qualified 1st & was about 10th, Clements qualified 2nd & was about 15th, Coello qualified 3rd & was on the pole, Jarred qualified 9th & was outside pole.
Hmmm, maybe the licenses should be revoked from ALL who had anything to do with releasing the cars from grid. < Yup, I said it & it should happen. Volunteer workers it's not all about YOU.

In T5 last lap it was not flood conditions. VERY light sprinkle in T5. I heard in T5 (rummor) that the race was timed because of black flag.

Yes a bad mistake by grid folks but a little harsh commentary, Dave?
More than a light sprinkle at the end and driving on fresh rain on dry setup is tough.
It would seem to me that at least some of the officials would have noticed the error and if so we should have been re-griided. Maybe we'll get an explanation. Can't leave it up to the drivers to figure it out on a pace lap. As for Jerret Gerber, he left pit lane when he was instructed and lined up as directed.

You must have been one of the calm one's as the cars left grid. What position did you Q earn & what position did you start? Check in with some of those that lost a bunch of positions. http://mazdaracers.c...tyle_emoticons/default/mad.gif
I hung with guys from the south east & Texas for the event but I guess none of their soft easy going manner rubed off.
I'm gone Jim, don't want to wreck any more threads. Oh, great job.

I'm very glad they threw the checker, Turn three was extremely wet! There's no point to keep racing, smashing up cars and finishing under yellow anyway.

Tom, one time at Gingerman two other cars & I passed two cars entering T 11 (last T before front straight at that time), on front straight we noticed double yellow, realized the pass was easy, returned the places & all three of us had our licenses pulled for as I recall three races. I'd call that harsh & a show of authority.

I started about 7 positions behind where I qualified but it was not due to grid error.

Did Mr. Coello's penalty have anything to do with the grid screw-up. If so, are the results under protest/review?
I think we need Magnum PI on this one! lol and Higgins said you can't borrow the car!

All that and he finished 4th. Amazing.
Was it Chip who followed Blake to pass a bunch of cars before the restart while still under double yellow? They tried to give some back but dunno how well that worked. +1 on his perseverance; every time I went to get gas they were wrenching like coked up squirrels on that car.
We made the gamble based on the radar to run rain tires so I, for one, am not happy the race was cut short. It didn't help that I started 8 or 10 spots further back than I should have either! It didn't look like I was in the right slot on grid so I confirmed with the worker that I was in P6. He said according to his chart I was in the right place so I dunno what happened there. However the mistake happened, that made it one very expensive one coming all the way from California.
(What had me confused is that I think Berry started next to me where he was supposed to be, so it kind of seemed like I was in the right place, not really knowing what everyone's cars look like)
