How it All Started

I'm finally building a spec miata race car. Wish I would have done this along time ago. I've been doing track events in the North East for the past 6-7 years now and have had a Subaru STI track car and lastly an E36 M3 track car. After this past season, I decided to finally take the plunge and build a race car. Sold the daily driver and am driving a pick up truck now and I'm ready to go. Started searching craigslist in the area and found a 96 Miata up in New Hampshire that the owner said had a bad head gasket. Car was mint inside and outside and he needed to get rid of it because he was moving out of the country. (Actually 100% true and not a nigerian scam artist believe it or not) So I scored it very cheap. And thats where it all started. Picked up a hard top a week later and then started the strip down.
