We are 90% sure of coming down with Miatas.

If you add BS, I will do everything in my power to have my car ready. I talked with Randy Hale last week, he said if I brought mine, he would bring his !!! Just try to put BS in a different race group from SM.

Done and done (EVERYBODY wants to be in a separate group from SM! ).

Get the word out to your B-Spec buddies that BS will fly at the 2011 ARRC by GRM.

was planning on going to ARRC this year -- I have no problem with runoff drivers that skip the runoffs for ARRC but if you have done the runoff you have had your fun stay home :) -- so my vote is runoff drives in another class or not for place.

BUTCH NYOU KNOW THE ANSWER IT IS CLEAR LET THEM PLAY

Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.

I only wanted the BS race in a different group from the SM race so the same driver can run both cars.

Thanks Butch.

In the current preliminary schedule SM, SM2, and SSM make up Group 5. STU, STL and BS will be part of the alphabet soup in Group 1.

If you want to solve this and make everyone happy...

Two groups

ASM
Open to all drivers and legal SM cars

SM2
This is your regional championship, doesn't matter what year SM you have, if you consider yourself a regional driver, that's what you run. The NA driver who thinks they are getting beat by newer cars are getting beat by better prepped SM's or drivers, not years of cars. ( If they don't believe that at least two NA cars that are coming this year can easily win it all, (Buras or Blake)

This works easily, there will be pressure on national guys, pro drivers etc to NOT register for SM2 and ruining the regional championship. You wont have to qualify the drivers, the drivers themselves will pressure guys into doing the right thing, nor do any of the main players want to ruin the regional championship. I doubt any wold register for SM2 unless they were truly regional drivers.

You run all in the same race. Everyone is happy, everyone wins and you get the most entries and provide the best possible race.

Great Idea! Split Start? Not a big one just enough to keep the two groups seperated at the start.

I don't see why you couldn't unless some guys in SM2 want to see how well they would do overall?

Boss, I didn't sleep there. The Sprints are now long gone. Is the silence gag lifted? May I babble about the _._ again. :P If the gag is lifted I may come to the ARRC to watch the _._'s do their thing. Yes, I beleive they can be on the podium at the ARRC.

I'm going to leave the floor open to further debate through the weekend, but based on input from this forum and forums/other sources I'm leaning heavily (99.9%) toward eliminating the "no Runoffs drivers" restriction. I also do not anticipate any kind of split start in the SM/SM2/SSM run group.

"To be the best you need to beat the best."

- or -

"If you want to race against only regional drivers then you need to run a regional-only class".

He is wondering is we will have an Arrc SMO ( spec miata oval) championship race as well on Saturday night.

Butch
So what do you think about my idea?
SM open for all legal SM cars (open Champion)
SM2 open for all legal SM cars with Regional drivers (regional champion)

All run together
