I heard this before but don't quote me (like you just did)
I'm 99% sure that SCCA has some sort of special pricing that it sets up for the test day, but you are supposed to call the track anyway to make a "reservation" for the test day, so you can ask, then. In any event, when you sign up, tell them that you "are a customer of AIM Tire" and I think they provide a 20% discount.

I'm in...so long as I don't run into any last minute delays.
Thanks to my work schedule I'll only get to be in Group 7, 5/15...no 17 for me this time around.

Thanks for the info Mike! Did he happen to say how many groups they were running and/or is there a schedule posted?

They will be running three groups. I didn't write down the times. When you sign up they always give you the schedule with all the session times on it. In the past I have signed up for just one session or two and you did have to let them know which one's you were going to run in.
Hope this helps.

The schedule shows just one qual group for SMT, no odd/even. Disappointing.
^^^Ken's obviously already planning to get his car to pre-grid first. Might have to drop mine off over there tomorrow.

Gates are manned 24hrs a day. Should have no problem getting in the gates Wednesday, the paddock may be crowded if the Wednesday night drags/drifting are going on.
I will be there watching, the field is strong....

As a heads up, there WILL be Wednesday night Drags and Drifts going on until 10pm. The drift program apparently puts some temporary K-wall in the paddock. This is totally outside the region's control. We have a call in to the track to see if it will be cleared Wednesday night rather than Thursday morning which we're hopeful will happen. Just be aware you might have to adjust your parking plans.

There is always that small paddock up the hill. You can park there for the night and move down in the morning. Lots of options, there really should be no issues.
