Race
Matt "Iceman" Reynolds
Chris Haldeman
Brett Gabriel
Brian Wisler
Luke Bickham
Congrats Matt on another stellar race. If you have ever raced with Matt you know the guy does not make mistakes and is just flat out fast when his car is on like it is now. Congrats to my team mate Chris Haldeman you are close and will get there soon. Really nice podium by Brett Gabriel, he had a hub start to go a few laps in and just put his head down and ignored the possible "oh crap!l moment I it totally let go.

Yeah, I agree.. When Matt has his equipment right, he is very hard to beat! Congrats! Looks like Matt was 20 seconds plus clear of p3, that is a bunch! Nice run by Chris as well

Race
Reynolds
McAllion
Agha
Wisler
Gabriel
Asselta
This race was cleaner than I expected. Only real contact was between Collings and Bickham, the unstoppable force and the immovable object made 2 laps before the the unstoppable force took out the immovable object. The unstoppable force had electrical issues 8 laps or so in causing a double yellow. Reynolds drove off again for the win. 8 in a row great finish to the regular season. On to the playoffs err Runoffs.
My weekend sucked was running 6th on Sat when I lost third gear. Today I drove like a total Larry and should be banished from racing for 4-6 months. Hope the Saferacer boys enjoyed their trip to Tejas, they picked up the the track well and were racing hard.

Plus he has the best looking car in the SW division!!!
Did you repaint it? Or was that a wise crack and you are still running around with the side "redecorated"?

Hope you all had fun. Can't say I missed it too terribly not being there. It's a long way from Houston, and I don't enjoy the facilities. The track was fun when I went two years ago.
Anyway, I look forward to the stories and some video.
Congrats to Matt, you're on a real tear and looking to be in excellent form for the runoffs.

No I was being serious. Chris repainted the car and it looks killer!!!

Thanks Texas Region for the hospitality. It was awesome to see a 25 car field in Spec Miata and the competition was good and clean (only two bumpers fell off on Saturday).
Hot, bumpy and fast made Sunday a war of attrition, but that was fun track with a great group of racers. We'll be up to speed next time!
We busted a move for home pretty quickly after the Sunday race, but wanted to say thanks to the Texas crew for the hospitality (and to Ed Gilfus for the hubs!)
