Here ya go..

I think that changes the score a little unless we are now talking about sports racers ? And I am not putting you down, just busting your chops :)

Because I took a short cut (9.1.8.c. out of the 2011 GCR hard copy), I paid the Drago cost. I should leave this alone except I'd like to direct Jim to a rule he seemed to be unaware of & because he likes to bust chops, pay back is customary.  :)

9.1.7.C.

C. AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS

A Mazda factory shop manual for the specific make, model, and year of automobile is required to be in the possession of each entrant. The manual may be in the form of printed material, microfiche, CDs, DVDs, and/or Internet access to manufacturer sponsored web-based databases. The manual is intended to aid scrutineers in identifying parts and the configuration of the automobile.

Updated score:

With all do respect, after you understand the basic rule 9.1.7.C the second paragraph, the score/Drago opinion will be, Japan 1, China 1, Dewhurst 1, Drago 0.001 (based on a Dewhurst error). :)

Now that your aware of this rule 9.1.7.C., do we want to continue to debate/argue & score the VIN location as stamped firewall as shown in the Mazda FSM. The Mazda FSM is the only publication mentioned within the Spec Miata rules. :scratchchin:

Right, so how does the scrutiner know what he/she is looking at?

I think i've made the point that the firewall VIN is changeable. Not easy, but way less effort than it took to TIG weld a cage in the car...

I can get another shop manual pretty easy as well...

You guys really need to save up all this banter for the winter, otherwise you'll have nothing new to talk about in the off-season.

Driver coaching lesson: don't fixate on a spinning car. Unlock the brakes and steer around it.
