After ten years, the venerable #34 (Stickers) is retiring. It has seen way too much love in what must have been be hundreds of races. Wish the odometer had been working all these years. Thanks to Ron, in it's place:

My interest in the 99 isn't about one-upping the competition. I believe that yearly comp adjustments will maintain reasonable parity between the different vintages. And I suspect for our Norcal tracks that the lighter weight and higher revving 1.6L will probably continue to be more favorable overall.
One of the big reasons to go to the 1.8L is that you end up with two different cars -- without restrictor you pick up 20HP. And the 1.8L saves cost because the induction system is unmodified. In the bigger scheme of things, with declining donor prices, I believe the 99s are the better value as a starting point for a new build.
My big concern about the 99 is the electrical gremlins that have been reported...

FYI, you have to run ITS, not ITA anymore.

Good luck on the new car. I'm glad you didn't get Ron's red 99. I'm getting confused with all the red 99 cars in our class.
Wow, looks like a super clean donor. It sure is fun putting all the pieces together. Good luck with the build. And yeah all the nice stuff you said about the 1.6, you're going to be happy with the new ride.

Steelies were just rollers. Seller kept the oem wheels with tires. Registered in CA but looks like it is a federal car...full leather package with all power...but no Torsen according to the table Juan posted. But haven't pulled an axle yet...still hoping!

I wish the garage was mine! It's actually Haag Performance in Martinez CA. Mike Haag does my engine work and is also doing other prep on the car.

Haha, too funny... Didn't know he had a vinyl cutter ;-) Maybe I shouldn't have bought one...
Hey Richard,
Thanks for the offer! I'm cutting some numbers tonight for the weekend.
What software do you use? The SignBlazer Elements software is pretty lousy. The Mac software was pretty nice, but the one year license expired and it's way too expensive to license otherwise.
