As long as were promoting our buds, how about the guy that started DFL on the 20 car field and won a National Championship and the Triple crown. He left me at the alter intending to use a past champions entry racing my Spec Miata. He was almost a Spec Miata racer. Oh, by the way in another class he won a second National Championship and the Triple crown on the same day.

 

Triple Crown is a Chicago region award for winning a divison championship, the June Sprints and the Runoffs.  

 

 

Outside you and I maybe a few others, no one knows who you are talking about.   I watched the production race last night, very nice drive! Congrats on two more national championships to Lawrence Loshak..

Ah, that is sort of like me asking how many cars Matt passed after his spin. Matt recovered very well and so did Lawrence passing 19 cars. He at the last moment changed from full wet to intermediates which took him from the pole to DFL. In his second class there were 29 cars, he started on the pole, faded back to 6th and after tires warmed came back to the front for the win.

It would have just been me, dad didn't make it.  For some reason at 74 years old he changed jobs that week and had to miss all the fun.  Would have been fun to have him around so he could see first hand the beauty of Road America and Elkhart Lake, by far my favorite venue to race to date.  The atmosphere is one of a kind.

Darn, Jim yer not playing fair. Pre Runoffs, I didn't bring up the 1.6 or bring the water level to the Runoffs scales intentially. I know how easly you get stressed.   Trust me, if I wanted to I would have located your scales. Might they have been by a Pratt Cole car?

Today I was just perusing my Google / YouTube analytics and stumbled on this gem ....................The day before the Spec Miata race, my 2011 SCCA runoffs video which averages around 40 views a day suddenly spiked to 537 views for that day, and then dropped back to around 40 views!!!! Now that's interesting ....... see analytics image below!!!

No Johnny D - the spike in views are ALL from Sept 19th, the day BEFORE the race (Sept 20th)!!

 

I only have 400 odd views on the new 2013 race video and the stats are not even up yet (Google /YouTube analytics run typically 1 day in arrears)

Speaking of Danny's video (this year's)...are you putting some kind of lubricant in the windshield washer reservoir?  Some kind of Batmobile trick to spin the cars behind?  I've never seen anyone squirt that thing so much.  I don't even have fluid in mine.

If you noticed every time he washed his windows there was a wreck behind him, we have all been focused on the secret Greece but it is really the washer fluid was the key.
I wonder if that will be written out if the rules?
