How's Showroom Stock doing as a class?
Right! So you're kind of helping making my point (I think?). So SS's rules were too tight and the cars were too shortlived ... which means SM is, if nothing else, a far better class formula than SS!
$6K tear-it-down-and-rebuilt-better-than-Mazda-originally-did motors were NEVER legal in the GCR, not for Showroom Stock, and not for SM either (in the years that our only engine rules was the same one written into the SS rules)!!!
Would SM had been better off with a more SRF-like formula towards rules and changes? I say "Yes!", but that was never going to happen ...

Nothing says "Showroom Stock" quite like a "Sunbelt performance engines" sticker!
Awesome!
