Well, only because they don't make an Audi version? :D

dont get me started on audi's and reliability :D

Beware the CENDiv SmackTalk Curse ... talk no smack, and prepare to make wedge adjustments every session, even if the car was perfect in the previous session.

On second thought, you are on Hoosiers now, I hear ANYone can drive those things? :D

Maybe Stearns will show up on the first 1/32" shaved SM7s anyone has ever seen and take the pole by a mile???

Nobody from Texas is coming?  No flags to steal, I guess .... :weeping:

maybe I should bust out my karting experience and start camber cutting tires for mid ohio... i mean it is mostly rights right??

Predictions:

1. Drago  woulda /coulda last year but one broken coil clip showed its head once or twice each time out. If the new car doesn't have teething issues like every other new car does... podium

2. Stearns  Won last year...  podium

3. Knuteson, Burdzy,Williams,Bednarz,Brown   All fast and capable of winning at Mid-O

THE LOCALS:  Todaro---New car and driving it very well. CAVEMAN--- He has mastered the track before and can again. Hille---FAST AND SMOOTH...Podium

West Coast:  Don't know either of them----Have only heard bad things :)   WELCOME......  IF it rains BE CAREFUL as it is the slipperiest track ever.

Stay off of the sealer and the green stuff. They both provide approximately the same grip level.

Voytek got his rain practice yesterday at Blackhawk. 2 1/2 hour enduro started in the rain, ended in still damp but sunny. Tom Bernacki stayed close for second place untill his trans lost 3rd gear with a few minutes remaining. Otherwise they where 4 laps in front of 3rd place.

Paddock update. First understand that the track has had a recent change in Track managers so our level of communication is still in flux.

I am told that we will have the use of the Upper paddock as well as the usual middle and lower paddock, however ten tenths has rented out the track Thursday till 4:30 and the Mid Ohio school has a corporate day till 5pm.

so i am not sure when you would be free to move about in the paddocks or garages, prior to 5pm Thursday.

Now lets get back to the smack,

Mellen, i have your battery for you that you lent me last December, I will put a charge on it.

As far as I knew... you cant park your trailer until like 6 or so. One of the guys in my group works for Mid Ohio ( sorry we get first pick on a spot )

If Drago agree to push me around the track I will save spots for him and his 207 cars he brings

Paddock update- this is from the track, confirmed all three paddocks will be open for business at 5pm. Park in the grass anytime.

"

We are trying to hold everyone until 5:00pm (unless they are going in the grass).  This way we won’t have to separate people out by where they are parking until the track rental customer is done at 4:30ish.

They should be staged coming down the blvd and then at the main gate.

If someone is going into the grass area – they can park at any time."

I did three or four sessions with new car yesterday, never missed a beat and seemed fast out of the trailer. Definitely different than than the 99.. Had I not had data, it would have immediately been loaded up and put in the trailer. Seat of the pants, car seems dreadfully slow.. But times were good.

On a side note.. Hoosier asked me to test a set of new tires yesterday. The are the new R7, basically the sm7 compound with a new construction. They were really nice. I went out and hammered them for three sessions starting out as stickers. They never even thought of graining, zero wear and lap times were the same and conditions were hotter in each session where I would have expected to go slower. The tires were about a second faster than sm7 I was told. I would tend to agree.
