Too funny Terrell. Man, I wish I had read this earlier. No wonder you mentioned the Dockside today. We would have had a completely different conversation in impound after the race since you and a buddy thought you were on the Northwest Nascar modified racing circuit today. We'll have fun tomorrow! Ice up.........

Well I only kicked your ass once and then you kicked mine today. Congratulations on 2nd. You were definitely forced to earn it! We do need to do the Dockside thing. Maybe we will run into Phil Rees. He's a regular there.
Great time with Tim, especially side by side in 4, 5, 6 and part of 7 with slicks in a rainstorm. Scary but fun. Tim I hope you enjoyed my double dive bomb move. That was fun also.

Great race and crazy fun when the rain started. Thanks again to the Keenans @ KBR for prepping a great car.
We are on for the Dockside Terrell. Mark and Tim, great drives this weekend.

Look up Fox News Portland and type in Rose Cup under their search to get the news story about the daughters. They did a good job with it and it is worth watching; especially the parts where Sheridan is in front of Randy and I am in front of Tracy. Finally some decent press.

Really good racing all!!!
I see a lot of changes on the horizon for you all and I see the past repeating itself in many ways.
1) SM works better for those who form alliances. Bump drafting and working together, lining up for qualifying, etc.
2) Car prep goes way beyond just washing and waxing. If you're not fast, you have one or both car and driver factors to work on. Look at what's worked in the past. Every part of the car must be at it's peak potential, from rolling resistance to making the best out of the power plant.
3) More than half of you are not using all of the track you paid for, check your video.
4) If you're having fun now, wait until you're in the lead pack train, or wait until you make an outside pass on one of the fast ones. Can't remember who it was this weekend, but I cheered for you!!!
I built a car and won a championship with a toolbox that fits in the trunk of my car. Open your ears, and search the forum on every topic. Most of the optimization tricks are all in here somewhere, but sometimes you have to read between the lines , Search the archives -- a LOT of the good stuff is on that site! I've said before and will say it again. I'm willing to help anyone and everyone. Just ask... My contact info is on the Oregon Region website on the Contact Us page.
Post your video here. I want to relive it as much as you do!
One last thought. If you're thinking about not attending the July Majors race, THINK AGAIN. You won't "spoil" anyone's points or be embarrassed. You're SM drivers and will fit right in. You'll also learn a LOT! I'm hoping to attend (but still not sure), and if I do, I'll be in there trying to spoil everyone's race
I have an opinion so I must be right

Did not have my best race, what with losing the rearview mirror bracket and the mirror itself in T6 resulting in a DNF. Yes, I'm hitting the curbs a lot more now which means now I need stronger mirror brackets to handle the vibrations.
Thanks to Bruce. Thanks to Terrell for loaning the front hub. Thanks to Mr Linse for the tools I borrowed to change the hub.
As your new Road Racing Director let me give a big thanks to everyone in all classes who came out to enjoy some Oregon liquid sunshine.

I just want to say, as I discussed it with a few of the SM drivers over the weekend, but I saw something very important that I need to address:
-If you spin, BOTH FEET IN. Not calling anyone out, but I saw 2 cars alone go off Sunday, and cross the track multiple times, before stalling on the race surface. One car in particular hardly missed hitting 2 cars, which would've sent a lot of drivers home upset.
-If you go off on the pit access road to gather yourself, don't turn right before the tire wall, cut through the grass, and hop on track IN FRONT of other cars. Pull behind the wall and re-enter safely.

Kyle...you do realize that maneuver slows you down? And it flat spots tires which really sucks!

So Bruce, you not remembering who made the outside pass is attributable to being politically correct or Alzheimer? It was a pleasure to get to talk to you and discuss the club and future Rose Cups.
Terrell, I know your lurking out there. When do you want to hit the Dockside so I can deliver your present. Hint, its in a can.

If it's what I think it is I will pass. No more tobacco ever! I will deal with being fat. Now if you are talking about a can of Sierra Nevada I am on my way.
Call me at (503) 793-9238 so we can schedule the Dockside meeting wherein we will conspire against the dark forces from the North and plot their demise.
Bruce, two of the outside passes were done by me during the rain. Heck of a lot better traction out there. 105 mph with slicks on the back straight in light rain was quite scary though. The parts we discussed are en-route and will be installed before the Majors. Regarding the sentence above; I think that covers the other issue.

Thought it was you Joe, but didn't want to get it wrong, so a little of both I guess The first time I made an outside pass on Will, I was screaming in my helmet!
Hey Rainman, it was just a few days ago you were a fair weather driver. I missed the outside rain passes. We were getting soaked in the stands without coats, but we didn't leave until the checkers flew.

Yeah Bruce, I didn't make a sound, but the senses were on hyper-drive. Would not have tried that on a hot August race or against drivers less tenured and skilled than those two.
Terrell, after not chewing myself for a year and a half following a 30 year habit like you, I wouldn't do that to a brother. But after the trash talking (which I love) on how you were going to kick my ass, I am amused that you didn't figure out that the "can" that I would be presenting you would contain "whoop ass" after going 2 out of 3 for the weekend. And I expect that this inter rival trophy will be passed back and forth through out the season.

OK, I'll have to be the first.
Here is the Friday dogfight.
Action at every corner on the track
